Singapore clothes sizing

Post by misscecille » Fri, 26 Dec 2008 5:57 pm

Hi Everyone,

I have just arrived in Singapore and cannot work out what system the clothes sizing is based on. Could anyone please help me?

I am an Australian Size 6.

Many Thanks for your help. :)

The thing is Singapore imports most apparels so first you will have to check the country of origin. I think your best bet is to actually try the outfits out and find out for yourself. Plus the fact that clothing manufacturers have different guides for body fit too (like Target's size 8 have a more generous fit than say Cue or Portmans)

But a general guide for Australian size 6:

Euro 32
UK 4
Japan, Hong Kong and Taiwan 5
US 2
Singapore small

For bras, if you usually wear a 10 band size, you might want to try the 70 band size (or get fitted by the shop assistants)
Don't count on me little post-its. I am now the infrequent-er.
