Hi! I did a research paper on Ginkgo Biloba last year (part of my university requirements) and the herb is suppose to be relatively safe. Its said to improve brain cognition and helps in concentration, depression and memory. Research has also shown that it helps slow down Alzeimers Disease and in some cases even cause a reversal of the damage caused by the disease.
If you follow the dosages recommended on the bottle, it should be relatively safe.
Contraindications may include gastrointestinal upsets, headaches, insomia, low blood pressure, allergies as well as interaction with platelet-aggregation inhibitor.
The supplement should be avoided if you're pregnant or lactating or taking anti-coagulants.
Do take note that I'm not a medical practitional so the information above may not be accurate. However, my mum has been taking Ginkgo for years and she swears by it.
Why do I have to be the ugly duckling???
