Post by Mondia » Sun, 21 Dec 2008 11:19 pm

Hi, we're looking at apartments on river valley road. Can someone please suggest good pre-schools in the neighborhood. Thanks.

There's a Montessori in UE Square if I'm not mistaken. Also another one at Patterson...

Oh - and also in Great World City.

There's quite alot in the area. All depends what sort of preschool you are looking for. Montessori, childcare etc? And the distance from the school to where you live. River valley is quite a long stretch of road.

We're really looking for a place that has good activities and stimulates the child mentally. Not really a childcare. Montessori is fine too. Thanks.

So if you are in upper River valley near Clemenceau, check UE Square. IF you are on the other end of River Valley, you should check Great World City. Both have Montessori and also they have Toddler's Gym (2nd floor in UE and 3rd floor in GWC).

I'm sending my child to Brighton Montessori from January. Its near Great World City.

The road along UE Square there are a few like Star Dust, JHS and one more but dont remember the name now. Few more by Paterson Rd and Grange Rd. Do goggle for schools or check the MOE website for preschools and come up with a list then visit these places. I haven't visited all the other schools as when I visited Brighton I was happy enough with it and I live next door to it so it was super convenient.

I have friends who dont even put their child in any of the nearby schools. They have cars and dont mind driving their kids to their choice of school. It all depends what you want for your child and which school you like. Everyone will have their opinions of which is best for them. Its better you judge for yourself. Like some people will be against Montessori and some against daycare if you know what I mean.

Great World City itself doesn't have a preschool inside the building. Only Grace kids which is 45 mins of playgroup sessions with activities like gym, music etc. They also have a branch at UE square.

Good luck on the search!
