Freeze, freezing, frozen?

Post by Miss Swan » Sat, 20 Dec 2008 5:29 pm

I'll be coming back to Singapore after 3 years of working overseas. Contract's ending in April 09 and I have my own plans after that. Just curious about the employment scene now. Are companies still hiring? My local friends are fretting over being retrenched; some friends are being hired, some are still looking for jobs since 5 months back...

So what else is going on in the job scene?

@durain: No I haven't heard. I'm in a very cooped up environment plus fellow pals aren't online a lot to share and discuss.

@Vauclause: Just wanted to hear from the rest. My local friends constitute a very tiny percentage of the actual job market...

well, if you follow the daily news you should be aware of the situation and that its not longer not only affecting Europe and the US but more and more taking its toll in Asia as well.
Wish you good luck in finding a job!
