Apt feedback - The Cosmopolitan or Paterson Residences?
Apt feedback - The Cosmopolitan or Paterson Residences?
I know the OFC is close to both. Any other pre-schools close-by? Which would you prefer otherwise and why? thanks!

Hi,
Comparing the Cosmo and Paterson Residence, for high floors above 20th the Cosmo gives you the view of Orchard area and greenery of the park along River Valley for units facing River Valley. But for units facing Trillium (the construction in progress new condo) you get an unpleasant contruction view for floors below 28th. But noise wise is minimal cause the digging part has been done. The Trillium is going to be a 28 storey condo, with the roof part it will be about as high as Cosmo's 30th storey.
So, if facing Trillium the unobstructed great view would be 30th floor and above units.
For Paterson Res, the highest floor is only 24th, you can get a nice view of Orchard and surrounding area if you are on 20th floor and above. But view wise it is still not as spectacular as that from Cosmo 30th and above floor facing Trillium.
Trillium is a 3 block of buildings condo project, so it will cover probably half of the view if you are on 29th and below floors facing Trillium. But you'll still be able to see the Singapore Flyer and CBD.
Cosmo is high ceiling, tall full length windows that stretches around 7 meters lengthwise, a large balcony, and open kitchen style, making the whole place seems grander and spacier. Whereas Paterson Res gives a more upscale feeling because it has a concierge and sofa at the entrance, higher quality interior furnishings, air-conditioned elevator hallways, sofas by the pool, bubble longue in the pool, pool view for units facing Wheelock Place. The planter can be used as a small balcony, making it feel kind of cozy especially for low floor units overlooking the pool, but it is walls on 2 sides of the living/dining area, no large windows like Cosmo, but the rooms are each one bigger than those at Cosmo. So what is lacking in the balcony size is compensated by the room sizes.
If you are someone who likes high floors and panoramic view then Cosmo would be better for you. But if you are one who prefers bigger room space, more upscale feeling, vicinity to ORchard Rd, a small and cozy place, then Paterson is the one. PLease note that there is a construction in front and back of this condo, but noise level is minimal.
Hope this helps.
