Dive Club

Post by deguk » Thu, 18 Dec 2008 12:11 am

Hi, I know that there is a lot of info on here about dive operators in Singapore, I was wondering if there any dive clubs in Singapore that come recommended?

I'm a 28 year old brit, fairly new to Sing, so up for a club that has the occasional social get together as well as the diving, have found a few BSAC clubs on line, any recommendations for a sociable bunch would be appreciated.

Cheers
D

Hi D, I arrived about 4 months ago and joined club called Free Flow Divers. They are loosely affiliated with the British club and a nice bunch socially. They aren't particularly BSAC, but I don't get the impression that the local BSAC clubs have many Brits.

Thanks Dave, I'll look up free flow divers, sounds like they could be good start. Not after a BSAC club in particular, have my cert with PADI, so anywhere that can arrange a few weekends away will be good as there is little chance of me doing it myself!

try out Blue Reef Scubs. very professional and safe (very safe) dive operators. i had a blast when i went with them for my advanced cert in Pulau Dayang.

prices were reasonable (almost cheap). gotta have a sense of humour with the guys though.. very chatty bunch. some ppl who prefer to keep to themselves may find it annoying..
