Advice needed: Looking for JAVA programming job.

Hi,

I am currently working as Technical Specialist in one testing company, holding a IT degree, currently learning JAVA programming language. Hoping to get a job as JAVA programmer.

I heard from my friend it is best to show a portfolio when go for interview.

Advice needed on how to build one.
