you can do a search on the beauty section of this forum - there are a couple of threads for hairdressers. personally - i can 100% recommend chaya from toni & guy hereen plaza. she is an amazing colorist. i go to quester for cuts - but have also heard that david is top notch (same place).

I use Ferrudus at T&G at the Heeren, pricey, but great hair cuts!

I use ferredus at T&G too! He's fantastic. I have curly hair and he's the first stylist here who knows what works best for me.

I finally tried T & G, heeren as suggested by some of the ladies from the other threads. I am much happier with them compared to anywhere else I've tried but I couldnt get David. It was very difficult to get an appointment with him as he travels alot. But I insisted on a director so they gave me Isaac who is a Singaporean. I was abit reluctant at first but he is ok, at least I walked out of the place feeling happy despite parting with $200!

I have curly and frizzy hair and alot of hairdressers here even if they are good dont understand my hair. I would like to try Ferrudus, how do I shift to him at the heeren?!? Even if Isaac was good I felt he still didnt understand my hair. Has anyone shift hairdressers around the same place?

blue sapphire - i switched stylists at toni & guy hereen and for the first couple of months i was scheduling appts when i knew i wouldn't see my original stylist. it really wasn't necessary since i think the only one who was uncomfortable was me! i never really brought it up - just sort of say hello and sometimes have some chit chat if i'm waiting - but was no big deal for him. i think stylists are used to people finding who works best for them.

ferrudus or david? dry cut?

Post by anaio » Mon, 30 Mar 2009 10:12 am

background: i just got to Singapore a few months ago . my hair is curly/frizzy on top and smooth underneath - so it's a pain to cut wet because the curly part becomes much shorter when dry...the only good haircuts i had were dry cuts (in paris, michel brosseau, he is fantastic).

now that i'm here, based on your exchange, i am thinking to try either ferrudus or david

questions:
1. Can anyone advise which is best especially for frizzes?

2. does either of them cut the hair dry, or always wet?

3. many top of the line stylists tend not to listen much and do whatever they think best (which may be nice but not what u like). on that dimension would you go with david or ferrudus?

Thanks a lot!

The difference between Ferredus and David?

David is the head Director, it costs at least $200 for a cut with him. He travels and its quite difficult to get an appointment with him. He had to cancel on me at one time. So never tried him.

Ferredus is a stylist so its less expensive with him. I tried him the last time and he had his own mind what he wanted to do with my hair. I spent 30 minutes with him trying to explain to him how my hair behaves and what he shouldn't do. But he is quite persistent. Now, I have nothing much left on my head to even do any changes.

I've also tried Isaac who is a director too, he is ok. But to spend $200 for a normal haircut, I'm not on a budget but its still quite ridiculous. Its not like I walked out with a superb haircut.

I've been here in Spore for 2 years and still havent found a good hairdresser that can handle my curly hair. Some of my friends have been here longer and they rather wait till they get home to have their hair done.

Dont trust anyone anywhere here until they know how to blowdry your hair first. Cutting hair must always be while its wet.
