Not to get into politics and who's right and who's wrong, they were damned good soldiers and an admirable lot, and I've heard that coming from Nam vets as well. Still, most are gentle and polite towards guests when you visit them. Now what's wrong with such qualities? Just because you don't admire good fighting men doesn't mean everyone shares your sentiments.
