I want to buy the other half a floor stnading globe for Christmas. Is there a shop in singapore that sells globes etc...can't believe there would be a shop in singapore I haven't been too but here's hoping.

have you tried in tanglin shopping center (the old one)? there is a shop that sells antique maps of the world and i think maybe they have globes too? worth a shot...

Books Kinokuniya has some lovely globes, but they are desktop models. What about ebay?

the "Planet Traveller" shops are selling globes as well. I usually buy my stuff for camping or backpacking there and they have 2 outlets spread over singapore, eg in Marina Square and Paragon
