Got PR! Now have some questions!

Post by boffenl » Sat, 06 Dec 2008 6:46 pm

O.K., 4 months after application we finally got the letter today saying we're been approved for PR. Since I did my MOM EP application in April 2007, I should only need to fill out the declaration portion of the medical form, right? Has anyone done this? or regardless of the time since application of EP just gone and done the med report?

Thanks!

I took my medical exam and finished my PR formalities last week and picked up my PR IC card yesterday. If I remember correctly, the medical exam has to be taken within 1 month of the date you finish your PR formalities. So I think you will have to retake the medical exam if you took it in 2007.

Hey boffenl, CONGRATULATIONS!

So glad you were successful. Sounds like all is coming up roses over there. You have adapted nicely (and it's not too bad down here with the teeming masses is it. I think it's a lot better than living in some Ivory Tower as well.

Thanks SMS! Am sitting in Ocean City watching the rain. Took a hellish flight with Qatar to Dulles and was never so glad to be in the US. Flying back to SG late next week--let me know if you need anything from Maryland!

Now I'm jealous! You had to pass within 16 miles of my farm to get to OC if you went down via 50, possibly even closer if you went down via 404.

A box of plain original Nabisco Triscuits! =P~

I can get Old Bay Seasoning here already but half a bushel of Blue Crabs would be nice! :P

Enjoy your stay. I miss the crashing of the surf there in the wintertime!
