age vs preference

Post by pakjohn » Sun, 04 Jan 2009 5:39 pm

Wow, you guys are way too young to say you're older and slower!

If it's true that 50 is the new 30 then you guys are still in your teens. lol!

I do agree with the sentiment though, much prefer being able to hear what people are saying and not have to shout it in someones ear to be heard over the music.

Ah thanks, pakjohn! I was wondering why was there some adolescence behaviour in me recently....... So, 'new-teen' explains it! Haha.

Mid 30s here. I'm also keen to join too. Been in SG for more than 7 years now but most of my friends are getting married so running out of kakis. Coffee to chat and get to know each other would be great.

Hi Fujiyama,

Nice to hear from you! Glad to hear you love everything Japanese..
Yep, let's get together for coffee or movies! I usually don't watch Japanese movie or drama so much ,but if you recommend some, I'd like to join you.

Also if you or other people who are interested in Japanese language, like, we can have language-exchange. Plz. send PM or just post your quote.

Will we all be able to hang out soon? Count me in!

:D

Hi laocgirl,

Thanks for your reply.

I am thinking of checking out this exhibition at the Singapore Arts Museum this Sunday:

We can have coffee nearby afterwards.

Other older, slower and wiser folks, you are welcome to join as well. Just leave a message here or send me a PM.

If it can include a wine and a meal then count Ms. C and I in also!

PS...to the regulars, we're back from the break - best wishes to everyone for a safe and healthy 2009.

Mr. P

Hi Mr. P,

If you'd prefer wine to coffee, then we'll have to start a bit late (e.g. 4:30pm). The museum closes at 7pm. Do you know of any nice restaurant nearby?

For those who have PM'ed me, please let me know if you're OK with the meeting time of 4:30pm.

i am 29 and not really that slow, but wouldn't mind hanging out with the older and slower people ... group and getting to know folks .... i am usually quiet but can get animated if something i am interested in pops up in a conversation ...

add me to your list [email protected] or 84525598
and 4.30 pm is way too early .. don't get out of work until atleast 7 so perhaps a weekend session then?

Hi Dr_H,

This event is indeed for the weekend - 4:30pm this Sunday. In this case, can you make it?

Hi Lacogirl,
I normally watch a few Japanese movies a year. But during my 2.5 years' stay in Japan, I've only watched one Japanese movie, bcos it's the only one with English subtitles. Looking forward to have language exchange with you.
