Antenatal Classes

Post by snowqueen » Thu, 04 Dec 2008 9:59 am

Hi

I have read some old threads on this but they date back to 2006 so I would like some current adivce.

My baby is due 7th March so I need to get on an antenatal class ASAP. I have done some research and see that M&C do a class for $420, Thomson do one for $181 (cheaper as I'm delivering there) but because of how the courses run I would have to start on class 4, which is at Ang Mo Kio, not sure if all the classes are there or just this one. (I live on the East Coast).

Does anyone else have any recommendations that do not cost the earth?

Hi - I'm due soon after you! (April 18th). You don't need to start the class at M&C that early. I went down and asked, and you should aim to finish 1 month before your due date.

More importantly, we should get in touch! Would be great to meet someone having a baby near the same time.

Snowqueen, I'm at TMC too and doing the ante natal class at TMC. All the 5 classes will be held at Ang Mo Kio. Doctors talk will be held at SCGS which is located at the junction of Bukit Timah Rd and Stevens Rd.

The only thing I find about the TMC classes is that they are too many people in each class. Mine has 24 couples! Might be worth it to pay more at other places to get more focused advise.

Feel free to PM me if you need more help :)
