I used Ericsson before it was Sony and the quality was ify to say the least, the battery would alsays have a problem connecting. I moved on to Nokia and that was fine but am on Samsung now.

Samsung works completely differently. The SMS function is different and takes a bit of getting used to but i am thinking of sticking with Samsung on my next phone as well since the one i have has not given me any problems.

I am thinking also of the Innov or the Omnia.

nah.. :( i used to use Nokia but it seems that everytime you get the Nokia HP ,you have to send it back to the "Repair Hospital" either for upgrading or some other reason.

I switched to S.E. and even my phone fell from my apartment's 2nd floor down to the basement carpark ..it still was working fine..heehee :)

Actually i had to do that with my Samsung as soon as i bought it. I didn't realise when i bouhg it that it had JUST been launched and i worked out pretty quickly that some of the functionality between the phone and the PC software didn't work.

A firmware upgrade was needed on the phone basically as soon as i got it, but just took a few days.

Note to Self: Don't buy anything again that's JUST launched.

If you are a Nokia user, it is much easier to shift to SE although Samsung's not bad as well in that sense.

The reason I would pick SE is that it's imho a much better built phone. Always feel that Samsung's a little plasticky... And the software for Samsung is more crude, less refined than SE (for me the best software is still SE even compared to Nokia Suite).
Also, if you ever try to listen to both live loud and

We have in our family T650i, W550 for SE, F450 and Omnia for Samsung. So I speak from real user experience (and by the way, iPhone is so much better than Omnia ;) with exception of Battery life).

I was a Nokia user for ages and switched to Sony because i lost my mobile and they had a good offer...honestly, dont do it, im very disappointed with the bugs on the operating system, crashing at least once a day and having hardware issues all the time...

I used to own the Samsung SGH-F480. They also call it the Samsung Tocco. Its a 5 mega-pixel, 3G camera phone. Other than the picture quailty, there is nothing great about the phone.

I suffer from drop calls, bluetooth faulty etc.

To me, Nokia is still the best as I have a bad experience with Sony as well.

Adding files dilemma

Post by nadya toha » Sat, 10 Jan 2009 11:07 pm

Hey,

I've just got a Samsung Pixon barely less than a week old. So far, it's the best phone i've ever used. But of course, iPhone is much better when comparing against the touch screen funtions. Still, Samsung Pixon is locally user friendly when comparing to an iphone as you can transfer files from phone-to-phone just by using bluetooth and also, you can send MMS easily. For an iphone, you'll have to sync the files you want from the selected file in your computer to the iphone file.

However, i have a situation now. I can't plug-n-play my pixon to my computer. The computer just don't seem to detect my phone. BUT, on my phone, there's charging activity going on, which means, the phone is connected to the computer.

The only way i can connect the phone to the computer to transfer files are by using the Samsung software CD that they had provided in the box. And the transferring of video format files is very slow.

Does anyone have any better idea to transfer the files in an easier and faster way?

Please Help me!
=)
