Last month, we had a visitor from the US who brought me the final season of the Sopranos, I had the previous 5 seasons already. After watching season 6 (late nights with wife and red wine) I have to say this is the best TV series I can remember watching. Compelling story lines, great acting and a memorable music score. Highly recommended.
Anyone know of a better series?

I could never get into the Sopranos, not sure why. West Wing is my favorite, but there are lots of close seconds.

also just finished all the seasons of:

have you tried curb your enthusiasm or the original office from the UK? i swear i could watch the UK office over and over and still find it hilarious.

nah, had the full set of Sopranos, my wife hated all the constant foul language so we gave it away . . . but, didn't fall in love with it.
West Wing
M*A*S*H
Family Man
Yup, drama, war and more serious drama.

Yes, heard about UK Office from other people as well and since I have to travel there next year, will probably pick up. I still have the house of cards trilogy to get through as well as the full series of Tinker, Tailor, Soldier spy (I think) The alec Guiness one. Also the whole set of Black Adder - I saw a few of them and always vowed I would do the whole series. Who says Singapore TV is no good
MASH - now there's an idea, but there must be millions of them.

I changed my mind, flying the flag!:
Neighbours (GO Kylie and jason, the technicolour poof)
Prisoner (Aaaargh, can you get any meaner?!)
A Country Practice (Life in the country . . . the biggest matron in soap history)
Home and Away (catchy theme song)
Number 96 (Would sound better as Number 69)
Young Doctors (Yes, they all look like that . . . )

If totally twisted humor is your thing, then I haven't seen anything come close to Curb Your Enthusiasm.
Some of my other favourite TV shows are The Office (US), Entourage, Fifth Gear, Top Gear and so on and so forth.....
Happy viewings !

I always liked Artie Johnson as the dirty old man on the park bench!
Goldie Hawn, Ruth Buzzi & Henry Gibson!

Rowan & Martin were way ahead of their time!
And I loved M*A*S*H* I actually like the series better than the movie.

Of course I do too. I remember thinking the Smothers Brothers was so cutting edge (and I guess at the time it was). My brothers used to watch Man from UNCLE at that time and Combat.
M*A*S*H is my favorite comedy series and I do believe I know them all almost by heart.
