Hii all

i am thinking of checking into a hotel with my kiddo's and watch fireworks on New Year's Eve.. tried calling Sentosa' s Shangri La but no room. anyone can suggest another hotel where I can get a good view of the fireworks.
Thanks in advance!

High floor of the Swissotel The Stamford at Raffles City? Would have to check out the rooms as the building is circular but you would definitely have a view!

try all other hotels in marina bay that will have a view over the fireworks. here's some i can think of... fullerton, pan pacific, ritz-carlton, mandarin and conrad. it was fab when i was a long term guest staying at one of those hotels.

that's where you got to ask where the room is facing before you book!

Me? I just relaxed and watched it on a 42" Plasma in the comfort of my own home with a nice bottle of wine & cheese, etc. Didn't have to worry about crowds, transport or rain. And when Gurmit and his silly crew got too boring I just changed channels. Best of all worlds and the savings of the Hotel bill paid for 25% of the TV now that I think about it.
It was much easier on the economic outlook this year as well considering.

I was on the ground, watching and hearing it live. Highly recommended!

I've done it several times in the past, found it highly overrated. Course I hate crowds so that might have a lot to do with it.
