Hi All,

Just wondering how long is the qualifying period before you can apply for a personal/car/home loan in Singapore ? And can they or will they check your credit history from back home ?

Thanks.

It depends..
if you are a PR(Permanent Resident) its easy to get any loans..atleast personal and car loans...not sure abt the housing loans..
but if you are on EP, then interest rates are very high...

Cheers.

Yes, they have the capability to do an international credit check - loans depends on individual circumstances, we got a mortgage, car loan pretty easy after we provided proof of employment, salary details etc.. They did a credit check and no problem.
