Looking for a Preschool with cozy atmosphere

Dear Friends,

My toddler will be starting school soon. She is 18 months and so I want to look for a good preschool with a cozy atmosphere (fewer kids and a homely environment) preferably with an outside playground.

Ive been to some centers and almost all of them seem to be run in an assembly-line fashion.

Your suggestions will be of great help.

I mean a place which is not a huge school with 100-200 kids but a smaller setting. I am concerned about her getting sick if she goes to a huge setting. Infact some schools that visited suggested that I look at places with less students overall. I am not talking about class sizes-those are in general taken care of the student teacher ratio mandate by MOE.

I think you should try some preschools around your area first since your kid is very young so the less travel the better. See what is closeby and give them a call for an appointment. Most places are willing to let you have a tour of the place and they will explain their curriculum.

I will be sending my 19 month old to a preschool near by place called Brighton montessori. They take from 18 mtns - 6 yrs old. So the school is small and intimate. In my son's class it will be about 5 students to one teacher plus an assistant. I'm quite happy about that. I expect better attention for the kids.

do do u your homework and consider carefully.

i'd advice you to narrow it down to a list of 3-4 schools and then personally go down and visit each school...
