Singapore Expats

Hi

I need some help here. I have contacted a few agencies trying to get a transfer maid who has experience in Singapore. Their montly expected salary varies alot. A local told me that since they know i am an expat, they are trying to take advantage and ask for more money.

So what is the average expected salary for a maid with at least 3-4 years experience in Singapore.

Also, what is the minimum contract term? We are expected to move back to Australia in June 2010 and at the moment have no intention to renew contract.

From 400 to 550 as a starting salary. Some put salary up after a few months, some don't.
