please inspire me, hubby's 40th and blank page syndrome

Post by Callalily » Tue, 18 Nov 2008 9:04 am

Hi

My husbans is going to be 40 next week and i still don't have a present  . I am really bad at these things... Anyway, he is mad about car racing. Any ideas of places I could contact to organise some kind of racing. Alternatively, a helicopter tour. I tried to google but was unsuccessful. Any suggestions (VERY)welcome.
Thank you.

xx

Singapore flyer flight simulator

Post by pakjohn » Tue, 18 Nov 2008 10:16 am

I can't speak to racing venues here... but can highly recommend the flight simulator out at the Singapore flyer complex. You can buy a 30, 60 or 90 minute session and get an optional DVD of the flight. You don't need to be a pilot to fly it as your co-pilot is a retired airlines pilot, you can also pick from a number of departure/arrival routes. Google it for more information... very cool experience. \:D/

The flight simulator experience sounds fascinating. Great idea! I checked the website, they have 30mins, 60 mins and 90 mins deals. Would 90 mins be too much in your opinion?

I always believe in leave them wanting more... suggest going with the 60 minute and the dvd. The experience is very realistic, I wanted to go again that same day but am saving it for January as a post Christmas boredom breaker. :)

If you do 90 minutes right off it won't leave anything to wish for if he really likes it, and I imagine he'll really like it.

If not, go with SMS's suggestion, a sure fire winner all way round!
