Has anyone tried Ultrasound Lipolysis?

Post by babyangel » Tue, 18 Nov 2008 2:55 am

Hi,

Has anyone tried Ultrasound Lipolysis to reduce inches? I understand the ultrasound would break down the fat cells and in turn, these liquified fats would be drained via the lymphatic drainage system and via excretion.

Has anyone tried it and found it effective?

thanks. :)

hi, i have never tried that before. but if i have money, i wouldn't be going for it because operations are too dangerous and will have side effects after the operation such as pain and swollen parts for weeks

if you really interested in slimming down, why not try acupuncture treatment to slim down? acupuncture will assist one to regulate and reach his or her metabolism rate to the maximum so that that person is able to burn his or her fats faster in a natural way.

Hi,

Ultrasound lipolysis is not a surgery, it is not invasive .... it is a roller or something like that that they roll over your skin like a normal treatment ....

hv u tried accupuncture slimming? how much you paid n how many times you went thru it? I did think about it but was thinking of trying a few sessions to see if it works first. Is it painful? Do you know which TCM clinic is gd at it and how long does it usually take to see results?

thanks. :)

I haven't tried it yet. Maybe I will when I get to Singapore next year. It sounds interesting.

i never tried before, but my friend's mum have slimmed down by 15kg after going through 3mths program with the assistance of TCM and acupuncture treatment. and now she no need to go for the acupuncture anymore and is maintaining her weigh by TCM supplements and balanced diets set by the the consultant.

regarding about the pain, it wouldnt hurt much (my experience came from the acupunture treatment for my injured knee 3 years back). the pain is something like bitten by ant.

well, it's up to the individual to believe or not. =)

human will only believe in what they see more than what they hear. so i believe my friend's mum really benefited from the acupuncture treatment.

Does your friend's mum need to take herbal medicine at the same time while doing the acupuncture treatment? Or just acupuncture treatment is good enough to see results?

I'd need to understand the mechanism behind it to even believe it.

15kg can be due to many things like dietary changes with effect of the treatment.
If there are herbs involve, it maybe something that blunt appetite.

hi icy, what i heard from my friend was that her mum undergo both the western and eastern way of treatment to assist her to slim down effectively:

eastern treatment:
- acupuncture treatment which assist the body to reach its optimum metabolism rate
- TCM to improve one's detoxification process

western treatment:
- western supplement to boast up the one's immune system, as well as increase the nutritional level of a person per meal.

my friend also said that her mum's progress is monitored by the consultant and a body diagnosis result weekly to determine and ensure she is losing fats, and not water or muscles (contribute to the weight).

hi bodyblitz, i agree with your saying. no doubt that the change in diet can cause the change in weigh. however, we need to determine that the weigh that we lost through the diet change is fats, water or even worst muscle. i think if we only lost water or muscle, we can return to our usual weight easily after a big feast or two, hehe. that is why i believe so many people want to seek for professional help in term of taking that body diagnosis results.

personally, i've lost more than 10kg in less than 6 months through hard work and discipline..

it really depends on how much you are willing to lose and how much effort u want to put in..

i've had friend who had gone for tcm slimming and lost 15kg (he was 130kg and had to lose weight for health purposes), other friends who part with money and sign up with packages at beauty salons.. friends who lost weight through dieting and supplement..

at the end of the day, which do you prefer?

Depends on how you do up your caloric deficit.

If say you've been controlling your insulin peaks then you'd be insulin sensitive, together with playing around with your micronutrients on the basis of your percentage of carbs/fat ratio for energy - this highly depends on your carb tolerance; some do better with higher carb, some don't.

Not necessarily it means just muscles or water, if there is enough stimulus for muscle retention with adequate protein intake to prevent it from wasting.

Do these treatment actually prescribe a holistic programs - diet/exercise/supplementation/acupuncture or are they only pushing needles into you and selling you products?

If so then i'm incline to think that they're putting her or allowing her to be on a caloric deficit diet regime which causes her to lose weight which will entail muscle wasting.
