Shops / programm to retrieve corrupted/missing files.

Post by cinder » Sun, 16 Nov 2008 6:11 pm

My laptop, HP/Compaq, couldn't start at all, and advised me to do system recovery by hitting F11 key. I did, and now ALL files gone.

I've heard there are some shops/contacts/programs that can help you retrieve corrupted/deleted files. Is there anybody can help me?
Any leads, even if it is not proven yet, would be appreciated, since the missing files are very valuable to me personally (the format of the files are jpg)

Thanks in advance.

I've used the following freeware program with great success for a number of years (the old version 3) this is the new version 6 but it's still freeware. You HAVE to run it from a separate Hard Disc so you will need an external HDD with enough capacity to hold the contents of you deleted files that you are recovering. (you also have to install the program on the external HDD as well). It works a treat though.

There are a few firms in town that have real capability to do what you want but bear in mind that it is EXPENSIVE! Several hundred dollars if the disk is not physically damaged to several thousand if physically damaged.

I have used and recommend Adroit Data Recovery Center: http://www.adrc.com/. They will analyze your drive at no charge, then give you a quote. Complete clean room facilities and straight up, honest people.
