I was wondering if anyone knew of a place that you can get soft bed sheets at a decent price. We are from the U.S. and have 400 count Egyptian cotton sheets that are so incredibly soft, but they do not fit our king bed that we got here. I have tried buying some sheets here at different department stores, and they all end up feeling scratchy when you sleep on them. Even some of the sheets here that say Egyptian cotton do not feel as soft as the ones we have had in the U.S. Any recommendations on nice sheets and where you can find them would be appreciated.

Try and stay at some local hotels Ritz Carlton etc and if you like the bed sheet they have them for sale in the hotel shop.
The naming of bed sizes are getting a bit daft now there's Twins, Doubles, Queens, Kings, Super king, California kings, Emperor.
Not that I have Pavarotti like proportion, our toddler still sleeps with us and you can guarantee she will turn perpendicular to us at night so fed up with sleeping on a perch.
Anyway am looking for sheets for a emperor size mattress 7ft x7ft so if anyone comes across them drop me a line.

They are so expensive here, I'd get them from ebay or the top-of-the-line stuff from Land's End. Be careful shopping here for sheet, just because they are a US brand, does not mean they are a US size.

Ain't it the truth. I learned the hard way 20 years ago with Cannon Sheets!

So, are you all saying that cannon sheets are the best here in Singapore?
We bought the ones that we are using now at John Little and they are horrible. They are scratchy and every little thing is attracted to them(dust, pet hair, etc..) They say Egyptian cotton, but there is no way this stuff is 400 thread count.
I would just wait to buy them in the U.S. but the King size in the U.S. is different than here, a lot larger size than the King we purchased here.
Thanks for the feedback, I will check the higher end department stores, but I have a feeling they are going to be quite expensive.

Ok, if not cannon sheets, does anyone have a brand that they recommend that they bought here in Singapore? Our King bed was bought here, so not to worried about finding sheets that will fit, just decent ones that are nice to sleep on.

i bought some lovely sheets for our guest bed at spotlight (4th floor plaza singapura). the sheets can range from 250 thread count to 1000. they are always having great sales and there are quite a few odd lots. most of the stock is australian - though i purchased a duvet cover that was an english brand. they also have a pretty good selection of fluffy towels.

I finally found some wonderful sheets at Aussino. They are the Cotton Sateen Collection, 260 thread count, and are so soft. There is also another line there called the Sino collection that is 270 thread count, also a cotton sateen. Both of them are very soft and comfortable. Thanks for the recommendation.

unfortunately, there is no good solution :(
we had a chemical fog before, very troublesome but the problem was bad and we had to destroy it before...

One company that I know is effective (from relatives who used them) is Killem Pest Pte Ltd. You can google them to make an appointment and I believe...
