Tanglin has a lot more facilities (all over from sports to computers etc) than Dover, but Dover is a small and friendly school where almost every teacher knows every student, whereas Tanglin is quite large in comparison. Tanglin also caters up to final years whereas Dover does not. You really only need to visit the two schools to see the differences. It will all depend on what you are happiest with really.
A lot of people see Tanglin as one of the "top" schools in Singapore along with SAS and UWC etc, so that is the reason they have long waiting lists.
