visa question..

Postby admin0 » Thu, 06 Nov 2008 12:19 am

Hi,

My parents arrived here on Oct 7th and are leaving on Nov 7th.
The visa granted is the standard 30 days visa.

Now, Since they arrived on 7th and are leaving on 7th, and the month is of 31 days, is it counted as 31 days of stay or 30 days of stay? Since they are leaving on 7th back to their country, will that 7th also be counted?

I am having trouble to figure out if I should extend their visa or just assume that its within the 30 days period.

I tried calling ICA, but their number was either busy or no response almost all the day today.

If anyone of you had a similar situation or have some idea regarding this, please let me know. Since they are going day after tomorrow, I still have 1 more day tomorrow to go down or call ICA and get some answers or guideline.

Thanks,

You should be OK. Have known lots of people one day over and no issue.

If your really worried go to the ICA HQ and ask someone.

If arrive 7 and leave 7 I think it is an overstay as the first day of your arrival counts as day one.

Thanks, and I feel a bit easy now.

I will call first, and if not, go down and ask someone.
