US to Singapore - Checklist

Post by milocavetch » Wed, 05 Nov 2008 6:37 am

I'm sure there are similar questions that have been posted, but here it goes. I'm a 30 year old, white, male, American looking to relocate to Singapore in the next few months (no, not because of the election). I've been before, but just to visit (DJ'ed). I'm looking for a full-time or money equivalent job. What are the steps I need to take to make this a seamless move? What are some good job websites for expats? What questions should I ask potential employers? Is it realistic to just "show up" and find a job?

Why is everyone emigrating from Boston all of a sudden?

Chowder no longer choice?

Beans not beautifully baked?

Kennedy causing chaos?

Seriously though, so many times has this been asked and answered by our panel of experts, you need to do a bit of searching on this site and it will spit out 80% of the answers you need. Good luck with your move :)

What about the remaining 20%?

I can't speak for the rest of Bostonians moving, but for me it's about living in a dynamic location.

Well...

Put that remaining 20% into specific questions, and then I bet you'll get instructive, quality answers.
