For the benefit of some QRcrew-wannabes, here are some useful information:

1) Salary: Roughly SGD3.5-4.5k (Depending on your roster)
2) Training: 7 weeks
3) Bond: 2 years

finally, got a reply from them..

Date: 15th November 2008(Saturday) - OPEN DAY
Time: 9:00 AM
Venue: HILTON HOTEL,
581 Orchard Road,
Singapore 238883.

# 16th November 2008 (Sunday)- Preliminary Selection
# 17th November 2008 (Monday) - Final Interviews
(if u r selected)

but i feel so sad.. i've got another job offer, which i dont really like but i have to accept it because i cant be so choosy while it is the recession period.. the dateline for me to accept the job offer clashes with this interview date.. either i get a job at Qatar, or nothing at all.. ahhhhhhh!

but i'll still go for experience.. i'll apply again in 3 years time..

good luck to all of u.. =)

Hey girl, i was thinking if u accept the job offer but still try for Qatar airlines.. lets say if u do get in, then u resign lor....

if u dnt get in airlines, u get the interview experience n the job offered to u in e first place.

if u get in, u just resign n fly... either way, u dont lose. u just at most pay for resignation?

cheers..

what u say is certainly right.. but the big prob is, its a 2 years contract! hihi.. government job some more.. not sure how much it will cost to pay for resignation..

unless, Qatar let me in and i ask them to wait for me for 2 years, lol.. [-o<

hi babe!

was in a similar situation before - why not ask for an extension of date for you to revert your acceptance of their offer? just a few days or a week, usually the managers will be fine. otherwise if it's urgent, they will tell you to decide by their timeline mah. =)

You have just answered your own question.

Look, there must be a reason why time stated is 9am and not 9am to __ or some other timing. This is a company that has been recruiting in Sg for sometime, do you think they are so silly to miss out on such important info?

In case you still do not get it, there is really just one timing. According to previous thread, all hopefuls will be seated in the ballroom at 9am (please do not be late, it does not reflect well on you) and watch a video that introduces the airline and such. There will also be Q&A session for you to clear any doubts. Before leaving, you will need to submit your resume and by 5pm on the same day, if you are selected, you will get a call from them, informing you of the next round.

Puzzled by why i know about all these even though this thread does not mention at all? If you have taken the time to read through this thread, you would have checked out the links given by lindyhoppe on the 2nd page and if you really care, you would have read through all the pages of those links. And you would have a better idea of Qatar.

sigh if only everybody does that, then we will not have so many repeated and unnecessary questions posted. Please Please Please people here, I know its very tempting to just post questions and wait for answers because you are excited about the whole thing but the fact is, most answers are already posted! Sometimes more than once. Do take some time to read through the thread before posting questions. Let this be an info loaded thread instead of repeated questions thread.
hey all! i just found out abt this.. may i know what time is the interview? which location?

weird that you can find your way to this thread and blindly post this question. Don't you even take some time to read the previous posts???
I shiver at the thought of what other questions you will post here...
