The dices have been cast

Postby Fabio77 » Thu, 30 Oct 2008 5:09 pm

I will arrive in Singapore in the morning of November 7!
And my fiancee will reach me on saturday to stay there a few days.

A temporary room is already arranged and I think I have found a more permanent accomodation too.

Something I'd like to know, how strict are the customs officers regarding prescription medicines and... salami from Italy?

hei guess what

Have a look at the following:

http://www.hsa.gov.sg/publish/hsaportal ... ation.html

http://www.ava.gov.sg/InformationForTra ... BringFood/

Product: Processed Food Products (all food products excluding meat and seafood products, fresh fruits and vegetables)

Country from which the product may be imported: All Countries

Personal Allowance (Maximum amount which may be imported without a permit from AVA): Total weight or volume does not exceed 5 kg/litres and total value not more than $100 per person.
NOTE: The above personal allowances are applicable for current sources of food products approved by AVA and are subject to change for health and safety reasons.

Hi Fabio

Remember to bring your favourite wine (I'm afraid it's limited to only 1 Litre per person) and cheese too. They are pretty costly over here.

Cheers
8-)

Thanks all for the helpful information; it's good to know what I can bring without wondering if it could be seized (and me, fined).

However, I have posptopned my trip to the end of November - I wasn't quite ready for it I realized.

See you on a friday night drinking session, I suppose.
