Car DVD's & Sat Nav .. where to buy?

Post by Patrick777 » Sun, 26 Oct 2008 4:13 pm

Just bought a car and we're now looking for headrest DVD's and Sat Nav at a reasonable price, they prices here appear to be double the UK prices?

Where has a reasonable selection of known branded above?

Thanks

Patrick

Lots of Garmin navigational devices in the basement of Lucky Plaza and strangely enough, not at the travel store at Paragon, but at the Athletic shop next door (or a few doors down) ParisSilk at Holland Village as well. Not sure about the Auto DVD.

How do you get the new maps and what is the brand if you don't mind me asking?

Dot, sorry just seen your posting

I bought my TomTom 510 over with me and downloaded the SG from their website, cost me 20 euros which I thought was quite reasonable.

Map is very good, has all the points of interest POI, that I've wanted to search for. Is only first 2 digit post code search but the street route search works very well.

In the 2 weeks I've used it, I've only found twice where it was slightly wrong which isn't that bad.

You can try Autobacs who have just opened a new branch at Ubi (one of the avenues, think was 2  )

they are just like Halfords in the UK and have a decent range of DVD's and Sat Navs are reasonable prices. They have another branch at Bukit Bakot as well.
