A Very Pleasant Reunion, All...

Postby Dave Magoo » Wed, 03 Jun 2009 10:35 am

Great stuff last night, everyone....just like old times for sure...8 very quizzical Motleys  Honourable mention to our 2 newbies also :D

3rd wasn't too bad in the end, although the 'Who am I?' round is always the killer....may I graciously retire from that particular responsibility for the next few quizzes...?

Let's keep it up, guys. Next week, 1st for sure

Magoo

p.s. We still miss you, Ozchick, WIMH, BTV, Lankan Kid et al....do come back soon :-)
One day, lad, all this will be yours....what, the curtains?

I think you can count with Giselle and me if nothing is wrong. Too hard to predict 24 hours ahead, anyway :D

I'm in!

Postby Asdracles » Mon, 15 Jun 2009 11:43 pm

My trip has been cancelled so I will be there tomorrow.

Let's hope that this week the "quizmaster" has bought an Atlas in the Singapore Sales.... So many "bluffs" in the geography section lately (Canary Islands in the Pacific, Ecuador in South America, The Hague dutch capital, ...)

Big numbers tonight :-)

Postby Dave Magoo » Tue, 16 Jun 2009 4:30 pm

Thanks for the info, Saint. We're already committed to our current location for this evening's quiz, but will keep it in mind for future occasions. Always good to explore somewhere new.

For the rest of the gang, looks like we'll have some numbers tonight, with Asdracles, Alibert and myself certainties, and will be joined by 4 of Carteki's friends (2 of whom I already know well) + hopefully a newcomer from Oz (& we always need more Oz experts!!), Kellie. Furthermore, hopefully P & C can join too :-)

See y'all at 715ish!!

Well done, Alibert, & Cheers, Sierraalpha :-)

Postby Dave Magoo » Wed, 17 Jun 2009 10:55 am

Good research there, Alibert. These things happen, I guess. At least it didn't make the difference this time :)

As for not needing your presence, Mr P & Ms C, the Motleys will ALWAYS need you :-) We had a good night tonight, but your presence was very much missed, and no doubt you'll be the star performers next week!! Will catch up again later in the week. :D

For everyone, am still waiting on the 'big news'...not looking so good now, I fear, but will post here when I know either way. Fingers have remained most firmly crossed!!

Magoo :)

So, is that regularly on Tuesday nights? I travel a fair bit, but can probably make it every 2nd or third week if there were others

MrDodge - no problems - just let us know - regulars cannot always make it either. Plus, Dave Magoo is a great organiser, as is carteki. And our regulars - some one week - others the next - are great down to earth people. We always welcome one and all!

Mr. P.
