Mushroom, chinese grade was A1. How abt you?
Wow no wonder. I only got B3. Hmm chances are low, i think they are really looking for ppl who scored well in Chinese for their China route. Anyone who scored B3 receive call?

Gosh. Suddenly the passage translation stage seems so difficult to pass. How on earth are we going to know what to say for all those terms? Learn from where sia! China airlines? LOL

I've just got the call from BA! I sent in my application on the 13th of Nov and my mandarin isn't fantastic (C6). My appointment slot is at 5pm. It goes to show they have different judging criterias. It's not just about grades.
She told me there would be a language proficiency test and i should be mentally prepared. Time to source for chinese definitions!

Were you a cabin crew before? I read from other BA thread that the previous round they selected a lot of current and ex cabin crew.

Mushroom,
i'm not an ex-cabin crew. I think if they are looking for people with flight experience they would state it there as their main/top criteria. Don't be intimidated by the threads, they serve as information to prepare us for the upcoming interview. =)
I feel the previous forum on BA recruitment was very informative about the language proficiency test. so read those and highlight key points to note.

Let's all prepare for the translation test where i read from previous thread they will ask you to translate English to Chinese. So try to do some homework on common Aviation term.

Dear All,
YAY!!! I got the call too... gosh... I'm so excited!
Very nice of 'em to take pity on me, haha!
I'm allocated to the slot on 01 Dec @ 5pm, anyone else around that time?
P/S: I sent my application on 07 Nov via Registered mail, my friend who sent on the 12th also got the call earlier today, but her interview is scheduled on 02 Dec.

can anyone share more about the BA interviews? also, will the selected candidates from this recruitment exercise fly only the China route? or other countries too? If it's only China I'm not keen anymore.
1st round: Read Chinese passage. then, they will read an English PA and translate them in Chinese.
From what I know, they fly to London and Shanghai. the training will be in London.

Felixtwp - it's the Clemenceau room at the basement of the hotel, bring your passport and original O level cert.
Well the other BA thread says its to translate from english to chinese the public announcement they make on flight....

SQ to hire 2000 more cabin crew
I’m taking this as a positive sign that the flight industry is coming back, perhaps now it is finally safe to say that SG is reopened for good.
