Searching for friends

Post by sumssums » Wed, 22 Oct 2008 9:47 am

Hi,

my name is Bina, I'm 33 years old and we moved to Singapore 4 weeks ago. I'm from Germany and we moved to Singapore because of my husbands work.
We live in the near of Holland Village, Holland Road.

I have two children. My daughter will be 4 in january and my son is now 6 weeks old.

I'm looking for new contacts and friends.

Perhaps somebody knows a playgroup for babys? My daughter is in kindergarden so I want to use the free time, to go with my son to a playgroup or something similar.

Thanks. Bina

Hi Bina

My daughter will be 4 in December and i have a 4mth old boy. But i won't be relocating until early November, still in Australia. When i arrive, we would love to meet up.

Still not very good with Singapore locations. We will be living in Toa Payoh.

Talk to you soon.

Hi amiee40,

I looked on the map and it is not far from us. With the car about 15 Minutes. It's in the near of my doughters kindergarden. Will your doughter go to kindergarden?

Why do you move to singapore? How long will you stay?

Oh, my boy is crying...

Hi Bina

I have a 17 month old daughter. I am going to meet other women with kids around the same age on wednesday. Maybe you want to join us, even if your kid is a bit older, it could be fun to meet other women. I am from Holland, married to a German and lived in Switzerland before we moved over here. We are here now since 2 months, so also very new. Hope to hear from you, or see you on wednesday morning 9.30 am at the maingate of the botanical gardens.
Cheers, Diana

Hi Diana,

I'd really like to join you on Wednesday, but on Wednesday I have a Pilates-Cours at 10.30 a.m.

My doughter goes every day to kindergarden, Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday till 3 p.m. and on Wednesday till 12.30 a.m. That means, that in this time I'm with my 7 weeks old son alone.

Perhaps we can finde an other day, we can meet up together.

Were do you live? We live at Holland Road near Jellan Jelita Coldstorage.

I hope hearing you again. Bina.

Hi Bina

Because of my work, there is just wednesday afternoon, and the weekends left. Is your husband german as well? And ffrom wich part of germnay do you come from? My husband is from Hamburg...I love that city!!!
Well it's a pitty you can't join us, so lets meet an other day. You tell me what is more convenient for you.
We live at Bishan. There is a direct bus going from our place to Holland Village, so not too complicated to meet.
CU, Diana

Is this a meetup for a walk in the botanical gardens or to hangout at the cafe? Will try to make it. If not then maybe some other time.

HI all

Well, I think it's time to make a playdate for the kids or a coffee round for the moms. As I noticed, most of you are more flexible during the afternoon. What about this friday? You can all come to our place for a swim or we can meet somewhere in the middle?!
Hope to see you all soon. Cheers, Diana

Hi Diana,

We are free this Friday afternoon. My daughter comes home from school around 12:30 and we can pop by after her lunch. Thanks for the invite, just let me know where to go and what to bring.

Cheers,
Claire

Hi Diana,

I have a 23 month old son and we are also looking for a playdate around (just moved here 4 months ago). I too, would love to meet up with other mommies and let our children play around.

I'm free tomorrow afternoon. Let me know where to meet up and we'll be there :)

Hi, great that it's going to work out tomorrow. I live in Bishan. You're welcome to come to my place (swimmingpool and Bishan Park nearby) or when it's too far out, we could meet at the Botanical Gardens....or does someone else knows another place where the kids could walk/run/play? My daughter wakes up around 3pm...so when we meet at our place 3pm is fine, otherwise I can't make it till 4pm.
Maybe it's easier to call/sms: 98580402

I'm interested in meeting up but my son sleeps all afternoon and wakes up by 3.30pm so I'm available by 4pm. Is there specific plans for tomorrow?
