Looking for musicians

Postby Hactar » Tue, 21 Oct 2008 10:17 pm

Hello all;

I'm a 30 year old Dutch engineer on an Expat contract.

I just got to Singapore and would love to start playing music again together with other people, once my instruments get of the boat. I've playing in bands for all of the last 15 years with various styles including metal, rock, pop, a capella and european folk music (irish/ klezmer/ balfolk).

Mostly I've done vocals, guitar or percussion; but the boat is heavy with my instruments including diatonic accordion, flute, bass and violin (not sure why I brought that, cos we'll probably get kicked out of our condo when they hear me play it).

Basically I'm up for anything; but I'd prefer something in the folk or metal genre (which are actually quite related and influence eachother a lot in western Europe).

Drop me a note if you're interested.

You will need to post 5 messages before you can sent private messages (pm) other board members. Shouldn't have a problem contacting them because most have provided their e-mail addresses.

Have fun . . .

thanks for the threads! Most of these posts are rather old, but I'll drop them a message anyway.

How's the response so far?

Here's someone else you could contact:

"6 of us here would like to see if there is anyone out there who would like to jam with us on a weekly basis. This is simply for fun not for commercial purpose at all.

Drop me a mail at rollinsjp@yahoo.co.jp if jazz/funk jamming is your cup of tea. We also play other genres of music as well."

Haven't found any people to play with yet, but I've put out some more lines today. I did get an offer to play in a bar, which I thought was rather funny. There must be very few musicians in Singapore...
