Job as Learning Support Tutor?

Post by TeachinCobi » Tue, 21 Oct 2008 11:29 am

Hi,

I am currently working at the German European School (in the European Section). I am a teacher in the Learning Support department, which means I help students with their assignments and general skills like spelling, reading and grammar (from grade 1 to 10).

I would like to continue doing that or other teaching (e.g. English, German) until the end of March 2009 but my contract here is only up to December. Any ideas where I could work after that? Is there a platform for expat tutors?

Thanks for your help,
Katja

Hi,
You may want to try Ministry of Education. I do know that some schools employ temporary teachers or teacher aids.

hi katja, not sure if you received my pm as it's just sitting in my outbox. would you or would you happen to know someone who could conduct primary school level german lessons? my son is a native speaker, attending a local school and we would like him to continue learning the language.

I know a learning support centre that may be interested in full time employment. 5 day week. Would you be interested?
