Fabric covered dining chairs - where find?

Post by rosborn » Thu, 16 Oct 2008 9:19 pm

Can anyone suggest a store that has a good range of fabric dinings chairs. I would like to be able to select the fabric and hopefully the wood stain and design. In Australia we have large furniture stores like Domayne or Freedom and I would love to find an equivalent here. Can anyone help?
Oh, and I would love for the price to be reasonable too. Can anyone help? Thanks

Thanks for the IKEA suggestion. It's not suitable because you can't select fabric / wood outside of what they have in the store. Thanks anyway

Have them made, so many places can do it for you. I did, and had slip covers made to go over them for parties. Brilliant. :)

Yes, exactly, I would like to get them made! Where did you get yours made? Or, which shopping area do you suggest that I go to find these places. Cheers

I had mine made by Biggie Best I think, that was along time ago though. I don't remember -- but lots of places can do it. They are covered with Jim Thompson fabric from the outlet in Bangkok, so I definitely didn't buy the fabric from there. First Editions at Tanglin also makes upholstered furniture and Michael at Carmely. Bring a picture and have the proportions you're interested in ready. Unique Interiors made the slip covers for nest to nothing. Fabric was also dirt cheap from the outlet.

Hi there...

Go to Spotlight at Plaza Singapure Shopping Centre Orchard.
There are ranges of ready made and fabrics for you to choose from and tailor to have it done :)
