Hi!! My boyfriend and I would like to join the group. Can anyone give me an idea of the area in which you meet and how frequently? So we can think about it!
Thanks :)

Book club info?

Post by sfevre » Tue, 03 Mar 2009 10:51 pm

Hi

I'd love to hear if the book club is still active and open to newbies?

If so when/where do you meet and what's the book?!

Cheers, SF

Any other ideas welcome as I have never set something like this up, I am just a bit of a square and love reading and it would be good to chat about different topic afterwards....

Hi January21, postmodernista, morenangpinay, kromano, Sibyl, sfevre, Dr-H, kabs, meha, 3333Harry3333, Lisa11 and everyone else who would be interested in the bookclub,

Generally each meeting is held over a Saturday although we can be flexi sometimes, pretty much depend on that week's host.

Anyone can select/ propose a book title and that same person picks the place and time to meet up. This person is therefore the Host.
Usually we give everyone about 2-3 weeks to go through the book before meeting up.

The next book is Margaret Atwood's Handmaid Tale and the date is tentatively 4th April (sometime in the afternoon).

If you are interested, email me at wlenglee@gmail.com, I can add you to the mailing list and send you the confirm date and time.

Cheers and happy reading.

Decided to bump up the thread in case anyone felt like joining a book club.
We're currently reading (well I am still that is   ) Child 44 by Tom Rob Smith.

It's available at almost all major bookshops. Next meeting is tentatively the coming Sunday (26th) around 2pm or so.

If you're interested, please email me at wlenglee@gmail.com and I will send you the details.
