In Dec 07 I signed a 1 year lease for the ground floor of a 4 storey Chinese house 30+ years old - huge 3 bed, 2 bath, enourmous maid room/laundry + toilet, 2 huge balconies, large living area + separate dining (over 4000sqf i think) - for $5.5k per month. No other amenities, 2 noisy dogs (not mine) in the yard and surrounded by construction.
I am due to negotiate my lease renewal soon and would like to know what my landlord might accept now the market is stabilizing. Would offering $4.5 or $5k be unreasonable?
