bedroom rug cleaning

Post by kiwigal » Mon, 13 Oct 2008 12:22 pm

hi can anyone recommend a company to clean a standard wool bedroom type of rug . We are just talking IKEA type of rugs so something that's not too expensive would be much appreciated .

thanks

hi, as per my experience most of these rugs are washing machine washable - lower temperatures, of course - 30 or 40 or special wool programme. Unless you have really large ones, so they won't fit there! :)

Thanks for the suggestion but YES, they're too big and heavy for a machine.

You can find companies searching online for carpet cleaning (e.g. Google).
Have seen rates in the $2-$3/sq.ft. range.

For better quality carpets you could pay $3.50-$4.50/sq.ft.

Measurements for area include any fringe.

Just had a couple done - took 2 weeks.
