Hi, I am a kiwi travelling over with my partner to Singapore early next year (2009). I am looking for a job either as a Nutritionist, TESOL teacher or Nanny. I am a qualified Nutritionist with a BSC in Human Food and Nutrition from Massey Uni AKL- I have been working in private practise for the previous two years and thoroughly enjoyed it however due to my partner (podiatrist) gaining a job in Singapore I am relocating. I have also completed a TESOL teaching English course and have loads of experience in Nannying. If anyone knows of anyone whom could sponsor me or any links in order to get a VISA it would be much appreciated. You will find me friendly, reliable, hardworking- the type of person you could rely upon so please let me know
Kind regards,

You may have some luck teaching English if you learn how to spell, or possibly in the nutrition sector but being a Nanny is out as you are not from an approved Asian source for that. The MOM will not give you a work permit. Do a search of these threads for "nanny" using the search function in the upper left side of this page (under the "Profile" link).

If your husband is working in SG he can sponsor your Dependency Pass (makes it easier to get job permission, and allows you to stay in SG with your husband).

Unfortunatly we are not married so the dependancy pass is not an option. I am looking at the Employment Pass Eligibility Cert and then finding a job upon arrival in hope of gaining a sponser then. Thankyou all for your help and any additional info would be great also!

Hi, Threadstarter. I am looking to grow a paramedical service to include a nutritionist. Not a problem if you are a foreigner as I could apply for an employment pass with relevant documents from you. But first it may be good to get to know you. Would you be dropping by in Singapore any time soon?
