Elective C-section

Post by ludhud » Sun, 12 Oct 2008 11:58 am

I am currently looking at changing gynaes as I have heard wonderful remarks about Dr Paul Tseng at Thomson Medical. I am however leaning towards an elective c-section....I know Dr Tseng is very pro natural but is he open to elective c-sections?

Hi I have not been to Dr Paul , but went to Dr Chang at Thomson Medical. In Singapore, the majority of mothers like to have elective sections so I am sure Dr Paul would not be against it. Dr Chang is EXCELLENT, he will take your birthing plan and stick to it as you requested he is really really good and had lots of expat patients, his bedside manner and his treatment throughout made the birth of my daughter wonderful.

I also changed from another Gynae cause I did not like how she advised me , when I went to see Dr Chang for my amnio, he explained it so well to me and advised me not to have it immediately and to wait for a few weeks more when there was less risk.... the other doctor had just sent me cause of my age !! He is charming !!!

Thomson Medical Centre is great, I am sure Dr Paul will be too.

I switched gynae too in the middle of my pregnancy. I am now seeing Dr. Lai Fon Min at "A company for Women", Camden Medical. He's a very good doctor, pro - natural birth but most importantly pro-choice. He's also very professional, spends a lot of time with you and returns my calls/ answers my emails promptly if i have something to ask between my appointments.

He delivers in most private hospitals and also at KK where he heads the antenatal unit.
