Just wondering if anybody here has had Lasik and what were the results?

what are your reasons for wanting your eyeballs scrapped?

the newer forms of lasik are better, but i don't believe they are perfect yet.

you would not generally see ophthalmologists (eye specialists) undergoing lasik procedures, so that's quite telling on whether or not you should do it.

most people fare fine, but you should not go into lasik expecting 20/20 vision, and like all surgeries, there're risks you have to weigh yourself.

i *think* some singapore eye doctors throw in a free first consult (or is it follow-up? i'm not sure anymore). why not call them up and ask the clinic assistant for it to be arranged?

lasek, lasik, laksa, wavefront, intralase - know what you are getting. laser eye surgery is best done with your own research, and then consultant with a laser eye clinic. most are positive but know what are the risk.

i had lasik on both eyes in 2000 and it seriously changed my life!!! i was a
-7.25 in both eyes and had developed an allergic reaction to contact lenses (after 28 years ). lasik was appealing b/c i do a lot of outdoor activities (running, volleyball, swimming) and couldn't bear to do them with glasses - or without (since i couldn't see anything). lasik isn't for everyone and you need to find out if you are a good candidate. my husband went to jerry tan in camden - but decided it wasn't for him.
