hi,
If some one gets his/her EP cancelled after resigning from job, how much period does he/she has for a valid stay in sigapore and search a job. How can he stay longer and how much longer to search a new job

you ll get a 14 days social visit pass after the cancellation of the employment pass....more info check www.mom.gov.sg

Not directly, no, but you could try applying for EPEC, which (if granted) gives you up to a year to find a job.

You really should have lined up your next job before resigning though...

If I'm not mistaken, once your employment visa is canceled you will be given a 14 day, non-extendable social visit pass. If you have not found an employer to apply for a new employment pass by then, you WILL have to leave the country. Even if you do find another employer, you may well have to leave the country before issuance of your new employment pass.
