erm, this thread is titled "Tokai Clinic" hence Yanhee isn't mentioned?pearlyriver wrote:Hi. I'm a newbie about PS. I'm a bit surprised when you guys don't mention much about Yanhee. Is it good or just a hype? I don't mind doctor Pat but I'm pretty concerned about hygiene in clinic. Can anyone share some tips?
it's discussed in the other threads if u go read...

as opposed to yanhee where the docs only work on one patient a day?? :Spearlyriver wrote:but seems like dr Pat is the only surgeon at Tokai. If he has to do patients by patients, there'll be higher chance of mistake. And can anyone share experiences about anaesthetic and hygene?
Do read all the different threads, the info is all there. Tokai is a clinic, where Dr Pat is the main doctor, he has another doc working with him as well.
I've been to Yanhee with my fren as well, each of the doctors have a packed schedule too. fren's dbl eyelid job with dr pitch at yanhee din turn out too well, should have gone to tokai or nara instead. yanhee was even less hospitable than most clinics...
if you seek docs with a less hectic schedule, then sg would be a good place. but then, you will be faced with the other problem: if they do so few ops per day, are they experienced enough to handle ur op properly?

"didn't turn out too well"pearlyriver wrote:what do you mean by 'turn out too well'? isn't it a good thing? when you had some jobs done at Tokai, was it Dr Pat who operated on you? And how about sterilization?
din = didn't

yes, dr pat was the one who operated.
when my fren did in yanhee, i suspected dr pitch wasn't the one who stitched him up. even if he did, he only did one eye, because the stitching on both eyes were very different. one side was not well done, hence the eyelid on that side din form very well, was quite disappointed in the result.
i think u can trust that most singaporeans are not ignorant... tokai is not some dingy clinic with lousy hygiene. it's a 3-storey clinic with proper op rooms and op eqpt. sterilizing machines are all there as well.

Oops, I think it's 'did'
Yanhee is well hyped but it seems to become a production chain rather than patient focussed.
I'm keen to do tip plasty but I've found no one in this forum who have experience with that job. Maybe Thai surgeons are not very skilled in doing tip plasty (I don't find pictures of tip plasty on Yanhee, Tokai, PAI website either). Read somewhere that tip plasty is both an art and science Maybe I have to save up to go to Korea.
