PM's & reply are much appreciated. :)
1) try to cut down smoking as much as possible as smoking increases the risks of complications...but of cos there are pp who continued to smoke after their PS but din suffer any infections....

2) try not to use fingers cos first ur fingers maybe too thick to reach where u wanna clean cos of swelling and secondly, its more hygienic to use cotton buds and clean the inside of ur nose wif some alcohol...make sure u clean well tho...

3) if its rhino and u're planning to do i believe its not necessary to have check up done beforehand...

4) be patient after ur PS to see the results...healing takes time....

hope it helps....cheers....
hee, was going to reply until i read your post, which is what i intended to say :D

Information facial surgery and lipo with Dr Pat

Post by debbiesue » Sat, 21 Feb 2009 12:59 am

I am seriously considering coming to Thai land for surgery with Dr Pat. I'm worried some because I am really having a lot done and have never been in Thailand before. Plus is Dr Pat the right surgeon for me? I think he may be. I need others opionions please
the surgeries
Forehead (brow) Lift with hairline lowering) and brow bone & orbital bone reduction
Platisma plication to make under chin angle sharpness
lower face liposuction
Malar (Cheek bone) implants
Liposuction abdomen
Love handle
Back
Fat transfer to buttock

A lot of work I know. I don't need rhino or eyes done thank god.
Dr Pat says he can do all in one surgery and that it will be great. I have met one person he did and she looks nice.
Opionions??

Hi that sounds interesting to me. I'd love to cut expenses for this trip. I'm having a lot more done than you so I am not sure if you want to share with me though. I am getting complete forehaed rework, jar work, face and neck lift, cheek lipo and implants
abdominal lipo and contouring.

But it you want to share I'm more than willing. Do you have a date in mind yet> I have not set one so far....

Sidetrack abit, is there a way/procedure to remove scars?

Reddish, very slightly raised underarm scars which are still there about 8 mths post surgery.
Been religiously applying scar healing creams ranging from 15 to 80 bucks, and recently switched to vit e gel (poked a hole in the vit e capsule for direct appln), but nothing really works leh. Faded but still pretty obvious.

Sorry if its a stupid question but i do hope to get rid of them once and for all. ;p

Tokai!

Post by Annakilly » Tue, 24 Feb 2009 9:00 pm

Hey everyone, i just came back from tokai last wednesday!
I went to do redo my nose implant because i felt the bridge was too high and unnatural and my tip wasn't sharp enough.
I had my previous implant done by Dr. CL Yeap at Mount E 3 years back!

Its my 6th day after the surgey and i have a major problem!
Its said that the bridge will go down by 1/3 its original height in 6 months, HOW ABOUT THE TIP??? Please tell me the tip will go down in height too!
omg Dr. Pat made my tip super high, my nose practically looks like a fork sticking out of my pancake face, i look like pinnochio :( Is it normal for the tip to be that high, because right now my bridge is fine

I hope some of you kind souls will help answer my question!

Other than that the trip was fine, no worries as Dr. Pat is a nice doctor. He was very straighforward with me in regards to my expectation. He told me that my expectations are impossible because i have thick nasal skin, but he would try his best to achieve what i wanted.
I woke up during the surgery like many others did and it hurt, i was whining away and i begged him to put me back to sleep, he said it wasn't neccessary and injected me with more local anesthetic. Operation lasted and hour.
The nurses were fantastic, held my hand throughout the procedure and they were very friendly and sincere, they even hired a cab to take me to my destination at a fixed price after surgery because they said most cab drivers liked to take farangs out on a ride to get more money.

I paid 25 000 Baht for the revision rhinoplasty in all after bargaining with him. Oh and i forgot to mention his humble 3 storey clinic did not look impressive from the outside, but it looked proper from the inside, with all the facilities needed. Definitely looked more professional then the surgery room of the previous doctor i went to in Singapore.

I will most likely not post any photos here in the forum but might do so discreetly to other forumners who are thinking of going for surgery. Do feel free to contact me through this forum, if you have any questions or queries and i will definitely answer them to my fullest :)
All the best to those gg for surgery and those who are healing!

Hi Annakilly,

No need to worry at all. I went through all that and now I'm fine. 2 weeks after the surgery I still looked like a freak, I screwed up and thought my nose looked weird, the nose distorted my face feature, the bridge was too high, the tip was too high bla bla. I cried like hell because I thought I made the wrong decision. But now it is 2 months post op and everything is good, the swelling has subsided, the bridge looks natural and all that.
So advice for you and all who's doing nose job: calm down and be patient. It is natural that you will feel frustrated after the ops and think " omg why the hell did I do this, I've made the wrong decision". Wait for at least 1 month and you will see things will change.

Hey, I've just sent Dr. Pat & Nara emails, now waiting for them to reply, I'm very likely to be paying Dr. Pat a visit since he offers more procedures, including the ones I want. I need nose reduction(tip, alar) and bridge implants. Other surgeries I need is chin implants, lip reduction (both lips) and facial liposuction. I'd need my body done as well, but its way out of my budget, I'd have it on another trip*Darn my genes suck*. Anyway It'd be great if I could join, since I'd be flying alone from Toronto all the way here. I'd have it in late june/early july.

Ok.. I've got a reply from Dr.Pat, his reply is more explicit and thorough compared to other surgeons. Since he has quote me the prices, and It might answer some of the questions you guys have I'll post it
