gucci_gucci wrote:Hi dovey,
How's your nose after day 3? I'm on my day 4 now, still looking like a monster with black eyes, red nose. However, it has been a lot better than the first day, I can see the nose shape clearer day by day. This morning I was so freaking out because my nose and tip looked so big, I told the staffs and they said nothing to worry, it would be smaller. Now I can see the nose looks better compared to the morning, or maybe I'm getting used to it.
- I have no cast/ splint either, I don't think there are problems with it. My nose is quite stiff due to excessive swelling so I can't sense the implant by touching.
- I can see my eyes being pulled closer to each other because the skin is stretched too much. Do you also experience this ? My eyes were big and round, but now they are smaller, longer, and closer to each other. This makes my face look very different and weird.
A funny thing is that Dr Pat asked me to choose a nose shape I like from photos of models/ singers in magazines and he brought it into the operation room. I chose the photo of the girl they called Thailand superstar lol. Not sure whether my nose will look like hers in one week.
I will update with photos in 1 or 2 weeks.
gucci_gucci, how are the results of your jaw shaving? if i recall correctly, you also had this performed at tokai? considering getting this done...any help would be appreciated!

Dr. Pat also quoted me 800USD for my implant and a little tip surgery to achieve the look that I want. What does he do on the tip if it's only a minor surgery incl. implant? Dr. Putt in Hatyai told me that I only need an S implant and that it's not possible to achieve the look that I want. So therefore, I'm going to Dr. Pat coz he sounds confident that I can achieve the nose that I want. I'm just wondering if he'll just insert an implant and the implant will also make my tip change the shape just like what Dr. Putt had told me? What's a tip refinement? Thanks.

its my 3rd day after surgery at TOKAI CLINIC with Dr.Pat.
i did Rhinoplasty and Dr.Pat did a little tip-plasty as well.
he charged me 800USD for everything.
The operation.
i woke up 20mins before it ended, i could feel what they were doing but was wayyy too drowsy to be shocked and all.
*just remember to ask Dr.Pat to let you sleep longer*
After-Op
I rested for about an hour before i left. my mom was with me so i was fine.
one thing though, i didnt have the splint or cast over me.
i'm really worried about shifting of the implants now.
Day 3
went for check up today. Dr.Pat says everything is ok
but since i'm leaving tomorrow, if the implants shift sent a picture to him or adjust it myself.
Service
As everyone who went to Tokai has said the NURSES are WONDERFUL ^_^.
Na, Pom, Bee, Nid are just soo sweet.
you'll feel just at home with these few girls around ^_^
I will post up pictures when the swelling is better ^_^.
HELP NEEDED:
IF my implants shift before day 10. which doctor should i go to in Singapore to get it back in place before it totally sets and is fixated on my nose?

noses with big tips will have the cartilage at the tip reduced (prob cutting), so tipoplasty is actually much more major than a simple implant, takes longer to heal too

hey guys
its day 8 from my PS with Dr.Pat from Tokai Clinic
here's a little insight and update
previously, i mention that i'm worried about the shifting and the implant being crooked.
according to Dr.Pat, i can manually adjust the implant with my fingers.
but i'm still really worried so i went and consulted a Plastic Surgeon today.
here's what went down:
the doctor came and see me, first thing she said
"your implants are crooked you know dear".
@_@!!!! --> my reaction
she then help me to push it and taped it down for me.
she did mention though
"As much as i push the implants for you, it seems to be depressing back into the crooked position but we'll just hope that the tapes will hold it in position
BUT
the chances of it being crooked is still there but come back in a week and we'll re-evaluate"
and she did say that my nose is still "very swollen" and when it goes down it would be alot better. though the crooked nose thing may be a problem.
she gave me Sineech to take ^_^
-----------------------------------------------------
i'm still in contact with Dr.Pat about my post-op condition through email.
i showed him my post op pictures and he said that if its crooked just adjust it yourself and continue to take my medication.
he doesnt seem to take the crooked implant into alot of consideration and that bothers me a little bit.
i love Dr.Pat, i think he's a great doctor but probably the post-op care could be better.
--------------------------------------------------------
i HATE to think that the end result that the implants would be crooked.
revision sounds painful @_@....

i hate to say this but take what u hear from local docs with a pinch of salt. i know every time i remove stitches or my frens remove stitches with local docs, they will say " i dun think the doc did a good job for you". yet it always turned out ok in the end.
wonder if they are hoping we'll do a revision with them, or is it just a superiority complex going on...

Tokai Clinic is quite close to the airport, only 30 minutes by taxi. You can get their by the Limousine taxi service, which is a little bit more expensive. Otherwise you can go by public taxi, they often go around to charge you more, so if you go by public taxi tell them you know the way and please don't go around.

dun bother to stay near tokai, it's just like a 20min ride to town. it's hard to settle food and stuff also away from town

Hi Boi18,
I saw your pics, your bridge for your nose damn nice lo.
hmm can i call u to ask more ? Really wish to know more..hope
can get yr hp thru PM as i still cant PM. Thanks...
i think i need to take some side photos to show to Dr.Pat if i decide
to go to Tokai to do nose thought i dun have much knowledge yet.
Now in my mind probably is Dr Pat ( TOKAI ) and Dr Nara to do
rhinoplasty. Maybe that's the term for me rite now. haha ...

the difficult part is not the bridge actually, it's the tip that is crucial, so depends on ur original nose

Hi, I am new here and new to PS. I would like to have some serious advices from the seniors. Had few questions in my mind.
1 ) I personally smoke alot, If i wanted to do rhino & alar, will it affect my nose to cause infections? Anything or any way to prevent?
2 ) How do you clean up your nose after doing rhino/alar ? What is the best way other than using finger?
3 ) Do you have to go for check ups before undergoing any kinds of PS?
4 ) What is the important point / steps to do after the surgeries?
PM's & reply are much appreciated.

1) try to cut down smoking as much as possible as smoking increases the risks of complications...but of cos there are pp who continued to smoke after their PS but din suffer any infections....
2) try not to use fingers cos first ur fingers maybe too thick to reach where u wanna clean cos of swelling and secondly, its more hygienic to use cotton buds and clean the inside of ur nose wif some alcohol...make sure u clean well tho...
3) if its rhino and u're planning to do i believe its not necessary to have check up done beforehand...
4) be patient after ur PS to see the results...healing takes time....
hope it helps....cheers....
