his liposuction was not bad, i could see my face visibly slimmer when i compared b4 and after pix :)

now in bkk, going to consult tokai tmr abt the jaw implants again, and then with yanhee. i wanna try yanhee, but the cost is a little high... if tokai gonna charge me higher than previously then i think i will just remove and be done with it
Next: Forehead augmentation, botox, RF

Bro you in Bangkok? Haha I'm here too..... So did you go to Tokai today? Supposed to consult him today but in the end went to Bangmod after listening to my friend... Now I'm back in the hotel having done tip plasty with ear cart and buccal fat removal. Still cannot see the results since its only the first day but nose already look smaller and sharper... Hope it will get better....

It's thru friend's recommendation that I went there for my op. According to her many of the thailand "superstars" go there for surgery. When I went there it was pretty evident that what she told me was true as some of their faces are on the lift doors. Went up and saw this Dr Surasit. If you happen to go there don't worry about the selection of doctors as Bangmod is small hospital and there is only one ps doctor. From the scale of his clinic and number of customers, he should be pretty famous. Did not see any foreigners though... Only me... Costs me 50000baht for nose and 40000 baht for buccal fat. Now its not up to me to comment on his work as I have not recovered yet... But based on his resume and patients, he should be quite good. Hope this helps[/code]

i'm planning to go to Tokai Clinic and get tip-plasty and alarplasty with Dr.Pat in January 2009.

i feel so re-assured with the comments here on the clinic.
i've been emailing Dr.Pat as well.

I have a few questions though.

I'm thinking of getting Rhinoplasty but i'm worried about the implants risks.
what are your feelings on implants?

Also, does Dr.Pat do Ear cartilage graft for Tip-plasty?

Thank you all
Good luck. Dr pat uses soft silicone which is safer.

day 4 in bkk, just consulted with dr pat today.

the trip was thrown into disarray, cos my gal fren accompanied me here to BKK for the surgery. 2nd day we arrived, we went chatuchak mkt to shop. My fren got pickpocketed and all her cash ($1000 SGD) all gone. So end up, we surviving on my cash, and i had to use my surgery money as well, so cannot even contemplate Yanhee based on their prices. decided to give tokai a try else my whole trip wld have been wasted.

i called tokai this morning, and asked whether the doc was free to meet me for consultation today. nurse mistook me as wanting to speak to dr pat directly. dr pat came to the phone and asked what my name was. i gave my full name and he immediately said, Oh you are my old patient. i was duly impressed. i asked if i cld meet him at 5pm, and he said, you are my old patient, u can meet me any time. i was very touched :)

due to erm, shopping delays  we only arrived at the clinic at 6 plus. dr pat was in surgery, but came down for a quick consult. he said my jaw looked better than b4, which i cannot deny from the side profile pix. but i said my jaw looks so much wider than b4 from the front. he dug up my old emails and he showed me the lee hom pix i sent him previously (my fren was chuckling loudly in the background, cos she was amused at how much i wanted to look like my idol :P)

he said cos my natural face was roundish, while lee hom's is oval, it's quite difficult to go against the genetics to achieve the same shape. he said he can revise for me if i really wanted to but he gave me the measurements for the implant and said that if he made it smaller, it wun be as defined as the current state.

he then suggested that my face looks wide now because my chin implant is too small and sharp. this is something i had contemplated b4 too. when i first did the chin implant with dr nara, he made it sharp cos my face was narrower and it was well-suited. but after my jaw implants, my face became wider but still tapered to a small sharp pt at my chin, which does look a bit unnatural.

i was much more convinced with this recommendation than dr pat's previous recommendation that i reduce my cheekbones to make my whole face smaller. he said that he usually charges USD800 for a new chin implant, but he wld charge me the same rate for revision. he then took out a calc and said that it wld convert to 27000+ baht. before i cld bargain, he said, i'll give u a special price at 20000 baht. wow, he totally changed my opinion that he was all abt the money :D

i told him whether i cld be sedated as i was still a little traumatised by my jaw surgery which was done under LA only. he said, no problem, he will put me to sleep, so no food and drink 4 hrs b4 surgery. i assume that means i'd be under GA, YAY! :D

will get my surgery done at 2pm *fingers crossed*.

Good luck for your surgery bro! Jus came back from Bangmod for post op consultation with Dr. He saw me and said everything is good. I voiced out my worries about my nose being not proportion to my face and look a bit like pig nose but he assured me its all due to swelling(only day 4) and everything will fall into place once the swelling subsides. My right ear turned blue black due to bruises and he released the blood for me to speed up the recovery of my ear. I will be seeing him again on the 26th. Now my head is being bandaged up like kena car accident haha.... Funny looking... Only can take out tmrw morning...
Bro Boii18 I don't have his e mail address but have the number of the hospital. It's 028670606. You call the hospital and ask them to connect you to the 12th floor. It's the PS dept.

NEED SERIOUS HELP BEFORE ITS TOO LATE! :(

Post by incamaiden » Wed, 24 Dec 2008 6:10 pm

Hi,

I need some serious advice from anyone who might have had the same experience as me.

I had my jaw shaving done at Tokai clinic. Still slightly swollen as expected. BUT, my lower lip has been numb for the past 2 weeks plus already making my smile look unbalanced. I couldn't wait around and do nothing and decided to check on it. A PS is suggesting that I have surgery done to try and repair the nerve even though this kind of surgery does not give very good chance or recovery. From the tests done, he's quite sure that the nerve has been cut during my jaw shaving surgery at Tokai.

I'm worried that my nerve damage is really permanent and surgery to repair it seem to be the only option.

Can anyone advice me?!?! :(

i did my jaw implants with tokai, my lower lips were also numb for quite a while. i did reflect this to Dr Pat, and told him i was concerned my nerve may be damaged. he told me he did from inside my mouth along my gums, so there is no reason why it shld damage the nerve at the lip. just had to take his word for it and wait

it got better as time went by and right side got back feeling after few weeks. few months later, the feeling came back to the left side as well. cld have been due to microscopic swelling, maybe wait a while more and see? did he do from inside as well for u?

Hi, thanks for the response. Mine was done from the inside though he did mention that there was a lot of bleeding. Check with you, when your right side recovered do you see yourself having a lopsided smile? Mine was jaw shaving, so not sure if how similar it would be to your implants. Did you went to any other PS to check on the numbness as you waited for them to recover on their own? I'm hoping that its only temporary due to the swelling, but the other PS that I talked to was saying that the longer i wait, the harder it might be to repair the damaged nerve. And he did do some nerve testing on my lip area which did not response even when a high current was passed through, which he said even if nerve is damaged they should still be able to respond involuntarily just that on our own we cant really control that part until the numbness goes away. :(

Thats terrible... I think you should go for the surgery. Your nerve is most likely cut through. ( Trigeminal nerve? ). He resected alot?
