Kitesurfing Malaysia 24.-27. October

Post by lilai » Tue, 23 Sep 2008 3:54 pm

Hi guys,

last weekend I was in Bintan and seeing the kite surfers there (no lessons available) made me move on with my decision to learn to kite surf.

The cheapest option I found so far is to go to Cherating on Malaysias east coast. So I decided to do the following - I will go there over the long weekend 24.-27. October (so once I learned I can kitesurf in Bintan). There is a night bus going there at 22:30hs and I will be there some time in the morning of the saturday(cost 115 SGD return). I will take a total beginners lesson of 4hrs on that day (80 RMB pax/hr) and another one of 2 hrs on Sunday. They can help with the accomodation in the range of 40 RMB - to 80 RMB. Return will be on the monday around 2 pm.

Anyone wanna come? Either to share the beginners lessons with me (1 more pax) or just for the fun of it. Thing is, you need your own equipment since they can only rent out windsurfing equipment at the moment.
Webside is ballzaction.com

If a girl wants to share a room with me, that would be fine for me.

Let´s have some fun on the beach!!!

Cindy, is this the thing you were looking for?
www.liangdianup.com/computeraccessories_1.htm
It's on the list of computer accessories and parts. They have the DVI video thing to convert that jap monitor to work with your other computer. Just about any other kind of wire adaptor, usb connectors, monitor extension wires, ps2 extention wires, and all kinds of female and male swap connectors and things that I think would help your shop. If that above link don't work then goto www.lducompany.com and click on computer accessories. Let me know if that is what you need and give me your email address again. :???:

Lilai, did you have anybody take you up on this? I didn't reply at the time as I wasn't sure of my plans for that weekend. I'd be quite keen on going. I did a weekend kitesurfing course many years ago in the UK but haven't really been since. Definitely need more coaching.

You mentioned that we need our own equipment. I take it that you already have it? I learnt on a 2-line kite (which I still have) but have since bought a 4-line (12m), although never used. Will this be sufficient for the winds in Cherating?

Hi,

Isn't the bus price too expensive ???? 115 SGD return seems way too expensive, why dont you plan the trip directly from Johor ???

Hi guys,

I cancelled the trip, because I didnt get much response, I was told the time is not yet right for kitesurfing there and I didnt manage to bring my equipment.

But I am keen on learning so I am continuing to look into options of learing there or here in Singapore

Hi,

As I mentioned I'd be keen on a few lessons and I have my own equipment. Let me know once you find out where and when the lessons are and I'll try and make it.
