i heard from the interviewer telling someone that the next singapore recruitment is on 10 Jan 2009 but those who were not successful at this last one must wait 6 months. i think the recruitment in singapore is like every 2-3 months.
have friends who fly up to bangkok or KL for interviews. apparently not as competitive there. the next bangkok open day is 7 dec.
anyone know who ths interviewer is?
Hi!..of course u will stand a chance!..EK's min education is high school level, so Im very sure you will stand a chance, especially when u mentioned that u have 2 years cust.svc background. Just be smiley through out the interview. 1st round will be done by Sass Atlantic (that Andrew guy is super nice!)..bring along some cash, cos they will need you to take a full length photograph of yourself there(they want it to be all standardise). Then, don't forget to have passport photos and resume, if u've already applied online, write the reference number on the top right hand corner on the application form that they will give you. The 2nd round will be about a week or two later, by the EK HR people itself. They will show you videos etc..and have group discussions(ALOT OF GROUP DISCUSSIONS!)..be diplomatic, don't speak too much, and don't speak too little..3rd round will usually be on the same day, you will undergo an English test and a Personality Test(don't worry too much on that)..english test will just be a multiple choice comprehension and write a composition(eg: About your childhood life)..The last round, is a one-on -one interview. Just talk and talk and talk about yourself, your past job experiences, and they will ask you some questions in between. You will then get the results via email about 3 to 4 weeks later..Medical check-up will ONLY be done at Raffles Medical..get ready bout 500 bucks ok!..Loads n Loads of vaccinations to be done!..hee!..But U will definitely love it there in Dubai!..Exotic destinations..Far Far away countries..and very relaxed working environment!..U'll love it!..an eye opener!.. : )samtay88 wrote:do i have a chance if my highest education is only n level? but i went ite for a year and with more than 2 years customer service experience.
hello there!..yup!..we must pay for our own medical check up, cannot claim things that u need to take note of will be 1st impression..1st round will normally be easy, it will be group discussions, and normally, mostly all will be selected to go for the 2nd round. THEN THE ACTUAL INTERVIEW comes, this time round, just relax, be smiley, it will be group discussions again. The interviewers will base on how you participate in the discussions. DON'T TALK TOO MUCH, give others chances to talk, AND DON'T TALK TO LITTLE, they wanna see how tactful and diplomatic you are, by listening and agreeing to others, at the same time, express your thoughts. ALWAYS SMILE. EK is mostly based on whether you can interact with pple, they like joyful and colourful people.. : ) So, just have fun, smile and laugh when necessary and be firm when it comes to certain times. Im sure u'll pull through..just Relax.. questions that they normally will ask during group discussions will be.." how do u handle unruly and difficult passenger" .. " what will you do if a crew member is not co-operative ".. "how would you react if a passenger has no more meal choices left"..bla bla.. you can start to answer by first apologising to the passenger, eventhough its not ur fault.... then just say anything that is sweet...heee!..u can do it!..wear formal..blacks, whites, cream and browns will be nice..not too overpowering colours like orange, purple yellow etc..heheh!..do ur best, its a good opportunity.. : )samtay88 wrote:hi pinksapphire!! thanks for all ur valued informations.. so the medical check-up fees are paid by ourselves? may i also ask what are the things tat they are actually very strict at? any important tips for me to take note? thanks
