Hi, I just moved to Singapore. I wanted to go skydiving last year when i lived in Jakarta but no one offered courses(not even in Bali). I would love to do it before i chicken out! I would be up for it possibly next year when i get some time off work. Let me know if you would still be willing to do it next year? Cheers

Hi,

contact Danniel - [email protected] (www.skydiveasia.org)
He's one of the Uncle of Singapore skydiving.
If you can get a group ready, he's certified to give/get tandem/free fall/static line course going.
Email him on any queries, he's more than willing to help. Probably can show you a video or 2.
If Segamat DZ does operate, usually student/jumpers go for 10,000 feet.
static line is interesting, but eventually everyone wants to go free fall.
Cheers,

I guess price is driven by demand... extremely expensive. Guess I'll wait till back in the U.S.

Nice site though, looks very professional.

You know better than that. More like driven by lack of competition. :P

Excellent point.. I was just taking a good natured shot. :)

There are places in Indo that are reasonable but the odds of getting an express ride is a little too good for my liking!

hi AngryAngMo, i guess you might already met some of the local jumpers.
If you're on facebook, join the group skydiveasia.org or singapore skydivers.
its a small community in singapore, but there's alot of passionate jumpers spending monies just getting out of the country to enjoy this sport.
there's some news of "new Thailand DZ" starting up that might interest you.

If the economy keep going south you will find lots of jumpers in most of the world's Financial Markets! :P

i did my course with FRAS although they don't offer it anymore. the instructor left for australia.

skydiving certification is pricey. the prices quoteb by girl next door is probably a tandem jump.

i recommend going to Thailand for the cheapest courses. the amount you save there will cover ur airfare and accomodations. do consider =)
