Starhub - Cash n Carry

Post by Saint » Thu, 18 Sep 2008 2:27 pm

The apartment we're moving into next week already has everything set up for Starhub Cable TV, broadband etc. Spoke to Starhub yesterday and they want to charge me $100 plus for the pleasure of one of thir guys to come around and set everything up, also they wouldn't be able to get someone around for about a week after we move in!

They said the other option is Cash n Carry, literally pay at the store and take the cable boxes, modem home and set it up yourself.

Has anyone done this? Is it really as easy as it seems? Or am I missing something and I have to be some kind of geek to set it all up?

Iv'e never come across anything that difficult and certainly anything that can;t be solved with a quick call the the help desk.

If you can find out which modem they plan to give you we can check out the specs and set up and give advice while you still have internet access :D

Saint - our new condo was set up for StarHub but we went with Hubstation (CATV) and MaxUltimate (Internet). We were waived the installation fee. Not sure if this helps???

Cheers, and welcome, P

Now how easy was that! Less than 30 minutes and we had Cable TV and wireless broadband set up!

The hardest part was at the Starhub Shop Sunday trying to pick which Cable Channels to have!
